Need help with utorrent setup

hey Rednoah,
I was trying to integrate the utorrent script but I cannot tell if it is running when a torrent finishes. I have put the same script into the run program when torrent finishes. Here is what I used,

When I started this I had not put the path for java in correctly and I got an error log so that is how I knew that it was at least trying to work, but now when a torrent finished, nothing. No log, nothing. So I am not sure if utorrent is running filebot.
How can I start to trouble shoot this?

Check the utorrent logger tab. You can try copy and pasting the command utorrent uses into the cmd and run it yourself and see what happens. I cannot imagine why there would be no output of any kind, there has to be something.

There lots of tabs in the lower said of the main screen. Peers, Files, Trackers. The last one says Logger.

ok. Found it. It looks like utorrrent calls filebot, but I am not finding any log files or sorted seasons. Where should I be looking for the targets of filebot?

Is it because the UNC paths are screwing up filebot?

As you can see from the utorrent logs it's calling this command:

Try this in the cmd and see what happens. Maybe cmd doesn't support redirecting output to \\UNC paths? If FileBot is started then there will always be output of somekind.

Hey Rednoah,
Thanks for the help. I tried to eliminate the UNC path issue and still I am not getting filebot to fire. I tried to just stick with drive letter and I still am not getting filebot to fire. Does this looks like it should work?

Try this in the cmd and see what happens.
Means no more utorrent. Just run it directly. See what happens:
fn.amc.png
Whatever happens, there can't be no output logging.

When I was watching it it just hung for about 2-3 minutes then posted the a command prom.

Of course there's not output in the console since you're redirecting output to that log file via >>

OMG. I cannot believe that I missed that it is output to a file and not the CMD!?!. It looks like it worked when I run it from the CMD. I found the the log file and it looked like it worked without any problems. Should I try it again from utorrent? Here is the log file. Thanks for the help.

If course, isn't it obvious that the ut_* parameter you passed in are not what they're supposed to be? utorrent only replaces the %variables in the cmdline call and NOT randomly in bat scripts you my be using. You MUST paste the call directly into utorrent so it can replace the %variables with values.

It fails. I want a folder created that is named after the torrent with the filebot log in it. This way I can keep them all together and just look in one place for problems. Why do you think this fails?

1. Redirecting console output does not create the necessary parent folders and fails instead. Maybe you need an mkdir before that.
2. --def gmail only works for gmail so you must specify your username. Not your email address.

So I changed the email from my email address to just the part before the @ symbol but it is still failing to use gmail smtp host. There are other ports that can be used. When I have set up other programs the user name is the entire e-mail address. Could it be a country thing?
I also removed the Amazing race from my myepisode list of shows and when I ran this it failed to add the show to myepisodes.
I will look into using a mkdir command too to get the log files into one place. I have put the log file below

Not sure what's going on in your case. Network settings, gmail blocking you. No idea.

OK I figured out that I have something blocking so I need to use a specific address to get to gmail smtp. Can you tell me how I would specify an IP address and port?

Everything else is in the docs and is self-explanatory. While it's not hard to make the modifications you suggested, with zero programming experience you're gonna have a tough time.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I need to play with it more as it does not seem to work for me. It said Update MyEpisodes, but there isn't an [added] line after. Maybe it is because of what is blocking me reaching gmail too.

Hey Rednoah!
Just a follow up. Got around my block by setting my host file for smtp.gmail.com to a specific IP address then re-routing this IP address around the program blocking it so now I am getting e-mail messages and I confirmed that my series are being added correctly to MyEpisodes.
So thanks for the help and I'm sure that I will be asking you more
