fn:amc renaming seems to not work correctly in this case

Post by ZGab »

Hi,

I found a new movie case that challenge Automated Media Center script : Mine (2016)
This movie is registered here : Using fn:amc just using the movie name Mine (2016) in strict mode without any filter I found another movie with original name : Jättiläinen :

Code: Select all

filebot -script fn:amc 'Mine (2016).avi' --log fine --action test --filter 'println json; true' --conflict fail --lang fr --encoding UTF-8 --def music=n artwork=y backdrops=y clean=n storeReport=n minLengthMS=180000 ut_label=Movie 'movieFormat=renamed/{n} ({y})' 'seriesFormat=renamed/{n} ({y})' 'animeFormat=renamed/{n} ({y})' 'musicFormat=renamed/{n} ({y})'
Run script [fn:amc] at [Thu Aug 10 21:01:27 GMT 2017]
Input: /mnt/e/VidéoS/FilmS/Mine (2016).avi
Rename movies using [TheMovieDB]
Auto-detect movie from context: [/mnt/e/VidéoS/FilmS/Mine (2016).avi]
Apply filter [println json; true] on [1] items
{"@type":"Movie","year":2016,"imdbId":4940780,"tmdbId":378350,"id":378350,"name":"The Mine","aliasNames":["Mine","Jättiläinen"]}
[TEST] From [/mnt/e/VidéoS/FilmS/Mine (2016).avi] to [/mnt/e/VidéoS/FilmS/renamed/Jättiläinen (2016).avi]
Processed 1 files
Using fn:amc using the movie name Mine (2016) in strict mode with a filter on tmdbid I found same movie as previous test (normal I think cause filtering is on result)

Using fn:amc using the movie name Mine (2017) (so changing the year, even if normal one is 2016 as registered in TMDB or IMDB) in strict mode with a filter on tmdbid I found indeed the good movie !

Code: Select all

filebot -script fn:amc 'Mine (2017).avi' --log fine --action test --filter 'println json; tmdbid==/345009/' --conflict fail --lang fr --encoding UTF-8 --def music=n artwork=y backdrops=y clean=n storeReport=n minLengthMS=180000 ut_label=Movie 'movieFormat=renamed/{n} ({y})' 'seriesFormat=renamed/{n} ({y})' 'animeFormat=renamed/{n} ({y})' 'musicFormat=renamed/{n} ({y})'
Run script [fn:amc] at [Thu Aug 10 20:43:56 GMT 2017]
Input: /mnt/e/VidéoS/FilmS/Mine (2017).avi
Rename movies using [TheMovieDB]
Auto-detect movie from context: [/mnt/e/VidéoS/FilmS/Mine (2017).avi]
Apply filter [println json; tmdbid==/345009/] on [12] items

Here 12 results with the good one, naming is ok.

My questions :
  • in strict mode and explicit filtering, it seems to be better than if filtering returns nothing, the status fails, no ?
  • Why using exact name (+ exact year), the script is not able to retrieve good item in result ?
  • Why using a wrong year for this name, I finally found good item ?
Note : here my Filebot fn:sysinfo report :

Here's what I get with -non-strict and --lang en:

Code: Select all

Input: Mine (2016).mkv
Group: [mov:the mine 2016] => [Mine (2016).mkv]
Rename movies using [TheMovieDB]
Auto-detect movie from context: [Mine (2016).mkv]
Rank [Mine 2016] => [The Mine (2016)]
[COPY] from [Mine (2016).mkv] to [Movies/The Mine (2016)/The Mine (2016).mkv]
Processed 1 files

Try a few different options and see which one is the cause of the problem. My educated guess is that --lang fr makes bad matches more likely if the input is not French.

If you know that your input is always in English, then it might make sense to only localize the destination path (and not the matching logic) via the {localize} binding. That'll naturally affect accuracy if you are processing files named in French.

FilmS is likely to throw off results as well. Use something standard, like "Movies", or "S", or "complete", etc.
