I used the second suggestion (the &&) and it now appears to be working OK.
Thanks!

Re: Can't play file with XBMC after AMC process...
Coming back to this, I realized that I need to do a similar operation for my movies library as well. I tried just pasting in another --def "exec=chmod 775 -R '/cygdrive/d/tv shows'" into the command line of the script (but switching the path to the movies directory instead), but ended up with a log ...

Re: Can't play file with XBMC after AMC process...
After a lot of experimenting, I finally fixed it. Executing cd 'd:/tv shows/' and then "chmod 775 -R ." through the CYGWIN terminal window made any files previously processed by AMC playable on the Pi. Adding --def "exec=chmod 775 -R '/cygdrive/d/tv shows'" to the script command line fixed the issue ...

Re: Can't play file with XBMC after AMC process...
I experimented with CYGWIN and chmod and somehow got the share playing on the Pi again. I think it was as simple as "chmod 775 -R ." after I cd:ed into the TV-shows directory (does that seem reasonable?), but since I was struggling with it I'm unsure if it was that particular command or some other ...

Re: Can't play file with XBMC after AMC process...
Thank you both for your replies. I have never worked with Linux before. How do I go about "manually" executing a linux command like chmod in a Windows environment? I guess I need a shell/terminal? Is this a viable option? http://www.cygwin.com/ bonelifer: If I understand you correctly the parameters ...

Re: Can't play file with XBMC after AMC process...
Just stumbled across this when looking into the file properties of smb.conf
http://postimg.org/image/mumd7i3bp/
Would this indicate that the user:group is actually pi:pi, also with regards to samba?

Re: Can't play file with XBMC after AMC process...
1. I think I got a basic hang of chmod and chown, but I can't seem to figure out the username and group for the Samba server running on the Raspberry Pi. I'm guessing it's a default value, and the only thing I can think of is pi and workgroup respectively ("pi" because that's the username I use when ...

Re: Can't play file with XBMC after AMC process...
Thanks! As I am not at all familiar with how this works, could you elaborate a bit on how I should apply "exec=chmod 775 '{folder}/' ; chown owner:group '{folder}/'" OR "exec=chmod 775 '{file}' ; chown owner:group '{file}'" Should I add it to the script command line? Or to the script itself? If yes ...

Can't play file with XBMC after AMC process...
Hi, I just experienced the strangest error with FileBot AMC and XBMC. My setup is a desktop computer which downloads torrents and runs the AMC script. The script also updates the local XBMC library which is shared via MySQL with a Raspberry Pi running Raspbmc. Everything has been running fine up ...

Re: AMC-script rename issue
I hope I'm understanding this correctly, if I don't I apologize. It is a multi season torrent which I previously used to download S01 (skipping the rest of the files). This time I used the same torrent, but selected only S02 to be downloaded. In spite of that, it seems as the script still processed ...

Re: AMC-script rename issue
Ok, thanks.
Any ideas as to what I can do about it? This is the only time it has happened. I'm not too familiar with scripting, but to me this seems like a Java issue.
Will happily provide you with any info you need.

AMC-script rename issue
Hi, Been trying to wrap my head around this for the last hours, without success. I downloaded a torrent containing S01-S04 of Parks & Recreations but selected only S02 to be downloaded. The script copies and renames fine for S02E01, 3-6 and 10 and all the srt-files, but the rest of the eps are not ...

Can't get AMC-script to work for How I Met Your Mother
Hi, I've been struggling with this for a few hours now and I can't seem to figure out what's wrong. The AMC-script works fine for all other media, but for some reason it's not working for the TV-show "How I Met Your Mother". Please find log below Parameter: xbmc = 192.168.0.16 Parameter: clean = y ...
