I have it working now I had to change the output to a different partition of the external drive. Dragging and dropping the drive into the nano process created /Volumes/Data-1, but it should have been /Volumes/Data

1. I'm not sure how you determined that I didn't install using brew, as I'm pretty sure I did, as I said in the original post.
