i'm using two simple scripts to rename my movies and series. Is it possible to automatically convert german umlauts like ä.ü,ö, in ae, ue, oe?

this what i use for movies:
/{n} ({y})/{n} ({y}){' CD'+pi}{'.'+lang}
and this for series:
{n} - {s00e00}
