Installed the developer preview of Java 9.
Didn't seem to fix anything out of the box.
I read that thread you linked, but the user that said it worked for them never replied with how they configured anything.

I'm assuming this is related to using a 4K monitor and Windows 10. I have this issue on several other older applications that are no longer being supported.
