Re: Filebot: "Source and Destination Files are the Same"

Windows displays this prompt ONLY when these icons are not present at all before clicking rename. I see. That would make sense. If FileBot knows that that source / destination path is the same, then FileBot will display the green icon, and do nothing when you click rename. But if FileBot for some r...

You can access and format the Audio Stream #1 bitrate like so: {((audio[0].'BitRate' as float) / 1e6).round(1)} or {audio[0].'BitRate/String'.slash('p')} https://www.filebot.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4285 EDIT: FileBot r8434 adds {vbr} video bitrate and {abr} audio bitrate bindings with auto...

Re: Filebot: "Source and Destination Files are the Same"

1. The https://www.filebot.net/resources/dialog.continue.png green icon means that the original path and the proposed destination path are exactly the same. No more. No less. FileBot does not "recognize" renamed files per se. 2. Please take a screenshot of the conflict details. There is no "The Sour...

The MovieInfo.imdbId property is a Number value, and not a String value.

You can format the ID as needed:

Code: Select all

{'tt'+omdb.imdbId.pad(7)}

Should work by default: $ filebot -rename *.mp4 --db TheMovieDB -non-strict --format "{plex.name}" --action TEST --log INFO [TEST] from [The.Radiator.Springs.500.5.2013.mp4] to [The Radiator Springs 500½ (2014).mp4] But the Any-ASCII transliteration seems to introduce ½ => 1/2 in your format code: $...

Re: [FileBot Node] DSM 6.2.4 authentication workaround

v0.4.0 going to be pushed to the community repository? Not planned for now, since that would break things for pre-DSM 6.2.4 users. But if you prefer to install via the package source, then you can add this package source instead for the latest package: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/filebot/file...

Does the --user option not do this?

Re: What is the deal with title names it's not consistent..

I've not tested this but will this not force movie to start on L in this case, and that will not work when there is a legit rename of the movie? Correct. This will indeed prevent legit matches such as Forever Young ➔ Heroes so I guess it's primarily useful for making Strict Mode more strict. Howeve...

Re: What is the deal with title names it's not consistent..

Yep, there's probably no one-size-fits-all solution here, and there's always a chance of running into some odd corner case once you throw enough files at it. I did play with it a little bit though, and the custom --q expression does seem to nudge things in the right direction in this case as well: $...

Re: What is the deal with title names it's not consistent..

Unfortunately, River (2014) matches Lost.River.2014 even in Strict Mode.

EDIT:

Also, Lost is a known release group name, which might be the root cause of the problem.

Sure. You can derive your custom Plex path and then take the tail section from that:

If you want to understand why FileBot is giving you the movie names it's giving you, then searching for the movie on IMDB to compare things won't be helpful. The only time I use this PC for TV episodes is if the other PC misses one or there is a new TV Series that ShowRSS does not yet support. I guess I should take out the age <10 completely then? In this case, you'll want to use --def "ut_label=TV" (i.e. replace variable %L with constant value TV ) to ...

Do you have any specific examples? What language preference are you using? You could try {primaryTitle} to see if that gives you the values you'd like to see. It really depends on what people have entered into TheTVDB though.

Re: FileBot should use names to figure out what is what

Since your files don't use any kind of standard SxE numbering, you won't get far with automatic SxE matching. In particular, Futurama / DVD Volumes / Season 7 DVD Episode Order does not help you, because the numbers in your files don't match the numbers in the database. However, in this particular c...

Re: Set umask/permissions for newly created directories

Presumably, the filebot process will inherit and use the umask of the current shell context. This should work for any tool or program that doesn't explicitly set the permissions one way or another. If that doesn't work for you, then you can always use --def exec to call chown to explicitly set the f...

So, sometimes I just edit the Plex metadata to reflect the DVD or Bluray order instead, which for me, can be easier than splitting episodes for Airdate order. You don't need to split files. You can take your Traveling Salesmen + The Return file and name it S03E12-E13 . Both FileBot and Plex support...

1. FileBot does not generally use mp4 / mkv tags. However, you can specifically rename files based on mp4 tags by clicking on Smart Mode: Attributes . This will match your files against locally available information, typically xattr metadata, but mp4 tags too if xattr metadata isn't available. 2. Wh...

Why does TheTVDB DVD Order not work correctly in FileBot and Plex?

TL;DR If you use TheTVDB as scraper in Plex, then you must use Airdate Order . If you want to use DVD Order , then you must use TheMovieDB::TV as scraper. Plex and FileBot use the same API, so Plex sees what FileBot sees. But neither Plex nor FileBot necessarily see what you see on the website. Tha...

Thanks for informing me of this. I do use Plex, and technically it supports DVD ordering. The option can be found when editing a series under the advanced tab. FileBot does support TheMovieDB episode groups 2=Absolute and 3=DVD but not the other 5 standard types.
