Re: Failed to identify or process any files (in Strict Mode)

We'll see if we can add in additional built-in help messages for this particular corner case.

As for running different commands, you can always write a script that calls -rename first and then checks the exit code or output, and then follow things up with other commands depending on the situation.

IDK. My first guess would be the unusual S02 - 01 number pattern.

where is the $30 lifetime version for linux? :D like for mac/windows ... thats ... strange... We had a paid Linux version on the Ubuntu Store. Then the Ubuntu Store shut down. Re: Additional or free form of "--order" option?

According to the URL, this listing is indeed DVD order. However, the API response only includes episodes that are part of the main order with DVD numbers attached to them, and won't include episodes that are only part custom order. The latter case wasn't possible until recent introduction of custom ...

Re: Subtitle woes

FileBot does not this kind of subtitle naming by default. Notably, the amc script explicitly ignores badly named subtitle in subfolders because we know in advance that we probably won't be able to reliably process them. However, in this case, a simple -rename call, you're not processing subfolders b...

Re: Failed to identify or process any files

Have you tried with -non-strict yet? Without input file paths, I can't say much. But my guess would be that none of the file names strictly match any of the Season 2 episode objects, e.g. if files are named Astrid et Rapha e lle instead of Astrid et Rapha ë lle since Strict Mode will indeed r...

e.g. generate the destination file path and then truncate to 250 characters: Movies/{ [ allOf {ny} { allOf {vf} {group} } , allOf {ny} {'CD'+pi} {lang} ]*.join(' ') .join('/') .truncate(250) } Your code shortens the file path. Re: Copy is done without renaming while log says otherwise

Is the file copied with the same name, and renamed once in place ? No. FileBot is doing something akin to this: cp /input/A.txt /output/B.txt  This means that there is no point in time where either /input/B.txt or /output/A.txt exist, because the copy operation can copy from any file path to ...

1. Have you tried the https://www.filebot.net/resources/button.repeat.png https://www.filebot.net/resources/button.repeat.selected.png toggle yet? Re: Rework the way items added can be removed again

Let's wait and see if other users run into the same issues and misconceptions as well, and then take it from there. Making a video recording of the issue would help your case, but no promises there, not annoying existing users takes precedence over making onboarding easier for new users, though we s...

I'd capture the output from a separate process so that you can perform different actions depending on the exit code of the filebot call:

Re: -bash: !_SORTED: event not found

--def ignore is a script option, i.e. an option for the amc script.

You'll want to use the --file-filter option.

Re: -bash: !_SORTED: event not found

--def minAgeDays is a script option, and has no effect on -rename calls or any other script call that doesn't use the minAgeDays as an input variable.

The --file-filter option may work for you though:

Code: Select all

--file-filter "age < 7"

FileBot only works with files. Unfortunately, FileBot does not work with lines in a text file.
