Tooltips Language on list of matches
Hi, when I select the match function, often I get prompted with a list of potential matches for my program. If you move the mouse over one of the lines, you get a little tooltip window showing the details for the show. When I do this, I often get a message showing some language or set of languages I ...

Re: Dragging filenames dependent on original file name
Hi I finally got the Debian file to install (seemed to be some issue with the pkg) and then found that my version of Java was too old. I upgraded to Ubuntu 18.10 and that fixed the problem. Then when I ran FileBot from the command line, I got no errors and the file was accepted. To investigate ...

Re: Dragging filenames dependent on original file name
From the command line, it worked fine: plex@qbittorrent:~/dem[o]$ ls 'Krypton - 1x01 [demo].mkv' plex@qbittorrent:~/dem[o]$ filebot -rename 'Krypton - 1x01 [demo].mkv' Rename episodes using [TheTVDB] Auto-detected query: [Krypton] Fetching episode data for [Krypton] [MOVE] from [/home/plex/dem[o ...

Re: Dragging filenames dependent on original file name
Thanks Rudolph. Sorry if I have seemed uncooperative. not my intention! I very much appreciate your attention to my problem. As you can see below, I am running this on Ubuntu 18.04. I did the install with the APT package after removing the SNAP package. Ubuntu is running in a VM on my FreeNAS server ...

Re: Dragging filenames dependent on original file name
Hi Rudolph, I don't know how I can show you screenshots of a file not being accepted by dragging a file to a window. Further experimentation has shown me that the key is whether the name of the file, or the folder it is contained in contains a square bracket. If I edit the file name and take out the ...

Dragging filenames dependent on original file name
Hi, for some reason, it seems that Filebot will not allow me to drag and drop just any filename. I seem to have to edit the file name to be very similar to what the eventual name will be ("name - s01e01 -.mkv" works fine). This does not happen in the Windows version, just in UBUNTU. I am running ...

Re: Renaming files in Ubuntu fails
I fixed this by uninstalling and reinstalling using --classic. I understand that this might expose my system to some risks.
Code: Select all
sudo snap install filebot --classic

Renaming files in Ubuntu fails
Hi, I am having a very annoying problem. I can drag a file into the renamer, and can get the new name to show on the right, however when I press the rename button, I get a message window pop up that says "Access Denied Exception: /mnt/tv/series/season/oldName.mkv -> /mnt/tv/series/season/newName.mkv ...

DNS Timeouts Behind PrivateInternetAccess VPN
I used to be able to do this but in the last couple of days all attempts have failed. I am running behind a PrivateInternetAccess VPN with the DNS leak and VPN Kill options enabled on Windows 10. I seem to have full Internet access for all other purposes, but FileBot just spins when I try to rename ...

Re: XML error on Doctor Who (2005) Match on TheTVDB
An excellent suggestion for using TheMovieDB. I had not thought about it. It will not exactly match what Plex will use, but it really doesn't have to.

Re: XML error on Doctor Who (2005) Match on TheTVDB
Thanks for the very fast response! I have pasted the output from the error below. This time it is EpImgFlag that is not correct rather than DVD number. It is looking like the message is being arbitrarily chopped off before completing. This might be something slightly different than we had ...

XML error on Doctor Who (2005) Match on TheTVDB
Hi, I am receiving an error message saying 'Invalid XML: SAXParseException: The element type "DVD_episodenumber" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</DVD_episodenumber>' when I do the Match>TheTVDB lookup for any Doctor Who (2005) episode. Last week this worked fine, but now it fails. I can ...
