Re: How do {vf}, {languages} and {lang} work?
Great news! Thanks. I've been using it quite a bit today, before I found out about this update. Probably renamed 500 files so as to append the resolution. Just so you know, I ended up skipping the AVIs after a while. They almost universally got flagged as 480p or 360p, though they were almost all 10...

Function Request: String.Truncate(length)
A really helpful addition to the available functions would be one to truncate a string at a given length. I have found that some episode titles returned by TheTVDB are unmanageable. If you want some insane examples, look at the titles of Rocky & Bullwinkle Show episodes. (The writers obviously h...

Re: How do {vf}, {languages} and {lang} work?
I will try to find some of the AVIs I ran across the other day. I just happened to format a few today. An SD video (1980s TV show) avi was listed as:

{resolution} = 640x464
{hpi} = 464p
{vf} = 360p
{resolution} = 640x464
{hpi} = 464p

Video Title in Metadata
I did notice somewhere that FileBot can read the title of the video saved in metadata. Will it change that as well when it renames the file itself? Before I got FileBot I changed the filenames by hand, but playing the video would briefly display the old "ugly" name stored inside the file. ...

How do {vf}, {languages} and {lang} work?
Really love the detailed list of format expressions for naming files, but I have found some that have issues. I've used FileBot on hundreds of movie files today and find problems with the following three: {vf} Any avi file in 720p or 1080p is incorrect, most commonly indicated as 360p. mkv and mp4 a...
