Re: Why is Movie "Excluded" from Subtitle Download?
Ah..... Thanks. My error; I missed the fact that the default is 50MB if omitted (I assumed that the default would be 0 - which, by the way, may be a better default?)

Re: Why is Movie "Excluded" from Subtitle Download?
I created a 83 bytes text file and named it "thisIsSomeMove.mkv".
However, it is still being excluded.
Is there any way to create dummy file for testing Name search?

Re: Why is Movie "Excluded" from Subtitle Download?
1. If I create a folder "test" with a zero byte file "test.mkv: is that supposed to be excluded (I am using -non-strict)? 2. It seems to be random/rare, even when downloading subtitles for several videos at the same time. Thus, it is difficult to use Fiddler. I will try it if it start...

Why is Movie "Excluded" from Subtitle Download?
When I use the Command Line (but not with the GUI) I sometimes get "Excluded" responses for movies. Why is that? For example, when I run: C:\MyProgs\Filebot>filebot -script fn:suball "P:\Ultimate_Server\Movies\This Is the End (2013)/" -non-strict --log all --log-file D:\test\log2...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
OK. so, I added "-Dnet.filebot.OpenSubtitlesXmlRpc.url=http://api.opensubtitles.org/xml-rpc" to the ini files, and run (still Decrypt HTTPS in Fiddler with a certificate added): C:\MyProgs\P_MultMed\Filebot>filebot -script fn:suball "P:\Ultimate_Server\Television\Cosmos- A Spacetime O...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
2. There were two jar versions: FileBot.jar & filebot-4.6.1-r3178-sign.jar. I tossed a coin and picked FileBot.jar. I confirmed that it now was r3178: C:\MyProgs\P_MultMed\Filebot>filebot -script fn:sysinfo Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: TieredCompilation is disabled in this release. FileBo...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
1B. 3A. I am a little confused... So this is true only for the portable version, right? Because you also said: "If you're using 64-bit Java you must install 64-bit FileBot, if you're using 32-bit Java you must install 32-bit FileBot." Furthermore, FileBot_4.6_x86.msi is 32bit Filebot (sinc...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
Some of my questions, in my previous post, were not answered; 1A. Do I "install" MediaInfo simply by copying MediaInfo.dll into the portable directory? 1B: Is the portable version 32-bit or 64-bit? 3A. How do I determine if I have the 32 bit or 64 bit version of Filebot installed? New Ques...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
1. As I wrote previously, I downloaded MediaInfo.dll and put it in the portable directory. However, I still got those error messages. Is that not the correct way to "install" it? Is the portable version 32-bit or 64-bit? Maybe it is 64-bit and that is why it doesn't work? 2. I now also tri...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
1. 2. Easiest way is to install FileBot. If you use the portable you'll copy the native libraries for your architecture into the filebot folder. There's a like here => http://www.filebot.net/#download EDIT: If 64-bit native library doesn't work, it's probably because you're using 32-bit Java. See F...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
There is something else very strange going on. Here is the log file when searching for subtitles in a directory with a single file (Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E03.720p.HDTV.TommyJay.mkv): Fetch subtitles for [D:\test] Get [English] subtitles for 1 files Looking up subtitles by hash via OpenSubti...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
To answer myself regarding the first issue: When I put in an escape character ( / ) it works in windows: D:\FileBot_4.6-portable>filebot.cmd -script fn:suball "D:\test\ / " -non-strict --def minFileSize=0 Surprised that no one else has noticed this? Another issue: When I use --log --log-fi...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
What exact command did you use in your test above (Posted 10 Aug 2015, 15:55)? As you suggested, I tried (and as you had, I have a blank mkv file): filebot -script fn:suball "D:\test\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E03.720p.HDTV.TommyJay.mkv" -non-strict However, no responses in the command...

I am sorry, but I can still not get this to work; Is this the correct command: filebot.cmd -get-subtitles "D:\test\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E03.720p.HDTV.TommyJay.mkv" -non-strict I still get the same error: `filebot -get-subtitles` has been disabled due to abuse. Please see http://b...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
I am sorry, but I cannot reproduce what you did; I cannot get the command line to work. I first created an empty file Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E03.720p.HDTV.TommyJay.mkv and put it in a folder "D:\test". I then tried to follow the instructions here: http://www.filebot.net/cli.html I ...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
1. I noticed that Plex automatically does another subtitle search (refresh) right after I download subtitles using FileBot. Thus, by using Filebot (actually the suball script) I will have two subtitles; one from Filebot search and one from Plex search. 2. Unfortunately, the subtitles found by suball...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot?
Indeed, I was talking about recently added subtitles. I was not aware that Filebot "delays" the downloading by a day to cache the subtitles. That explains why Plex finds the subtitles before Filebot for brand new releases. OK, so Filebot cannot be used instead of wget/curl (or browser) to ...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot?
If you use CLI of filebot, you gonna realize that filebot is way better than Plex. You can even trigger Plex library refreshing thing on filebot. I first tried to use a script: filebot -script fn:suball "my file path" -non-strict --def maxAgeDays=7 and then also tried the GUI For the exam...

Re: Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot?
Multiple files; Here is an example:
Under.the.Dome.S03E06.1080p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION[rarbg].mkv
Where are the logs (I am using the portable version)?
How do I set Filebot to do name or a hash search (using the GUI)?

Plex Finds subtitles but not Filebot? Plex refresh?
When I refresh my library in Plex, it usually downloads subtitles (from opensubtitles.org) for recently downloaded TV episodes.
However, when I try the same recent file(s) in Filebot, subtitles are often not found.
Why is Plex "better" at finding subtitles for recent TV releases?

Re: V3.61 Doesn't Find Subtitles but v3.50 Does
I tried another video and have the same issue: I get subtitles in v3.50 but nothing using v3.61. BTW, if white is hash search, orange is name search, what is red? Also, was Subscene removed from v 3.61?

Re: V3.61 Doesn't Find Subtitles but v3.50 Does
OK. Got it now. Thanks. p.s. At first, I didn't understand why v3.50 and v.3.61 (or v3.60) behaved differently. The later versions didn't find anything with the real file. However, after I feed FileBot the empty file (like you did), it found the subtitles by text-search. I then proceeded with the re...
