Re: Interested in Learning Groovy
Hi Amishman, Groovy is a "dynamic language for the Java platform", so the two do very much run hand in hand, but there is a decent amount of info out there that will help get you going even if you're not familiar with Java. Here are some links that might help put you in the right direction...

Re: [Windows] Advanced Context Menu & Cool Scripts Pack
@Ztrust, I don't think so - this just tells filebot "go look for files here, then find me subtitles for those files". Whatever the files are called when you use the context menu, that's what it will search for. The good thing is though that Filebot will initially try searching for the hash...

Re: (Script Needed) - move, rename
Hi boognish43, Sounds like you need an amc (automated media centre) script! There's a number of these that are available across the forums, each with their own feature-sets or tailored to specific platforms. We've compiled many of these (along with lots of other nifty stuff) in an awesome thread ove...

Re: Is filebot the solution im looking for?
Hi Casmo, Yes - FileBot can certainly help you out with all of that, and allows a crazy amount of customisation regarding what is renamed and relocated where and how. There are a number of guides on setting up an automated media centre (AMC) script to do all of that from a variety of different downl...

Re: Renaming a second time with additional details
Awesome - glad you got it to work. :-) It's probably also worth mentioning that there is a filter in the FileBot history window that will allow you to search for the movies that had those tags and just restore them (so you can then rename them with your updated scheme). Screen shot below ^.^ http://...

Re: Code with special "Attributes"
Blimey, and I thought my naming scheme was complicated, lol. Depending on the path that you're storing the files, you may end up running into character limits on the path. Also, scanning for RH and EC are likley to run into a number of false positives. For a wacky example, "See the Engrained Ge...

Re: Renaming a second time with additional details
Hi benitbabu969, The fn.matchAll function should find and include instances of 'Unrated' from the filename, but if it has been removed from the filename during the previous renaming attempt.. it no longer has anything there to find :-( This means you will need to either manually add the word Unrated...

Re: FileBot Pro/VIP Edition? (i.e. a Paid Version)
yup, I totally agree. animated/flashing ads are evil. A subtle animation (slight change of text or whatever) isn't too bad, but those ' OMG 1,000,000,000TH VIEW YOU'VE WON A FREE BANANA! ' seizure inducing hell boxes are totally uncool. That's why it's essential to get linked into the right advertis...

Re: FileBot Pro/VIP Edition? (i.e. a Paid Version)
With the number of issues that the installer-bundled ad packages can cause (and the bad feedback this can also cause), now that there is a number of more 'reputable' players on the field, it may be time to reconsider the in-app advert idea. Before freaking out... hear me out for a sec :-) One idea I...

Re: msiexec error 1603
Hi Demi, While there is a big difference between adware (and bloatware) versus spyware, I disabled that option during the install, so I'm doubting that was a contributing factor. That being said tho, my system is configured to block executables from running in %appdata% and %localappdata% because it...

Re: [Windows] Advanced Context Menu & Cool Scripts Pack
Hi romano, The paths are written to C:\Program Files\FileBot\cmdlets\output.txt To change it, you can either edit output.txt directly (notes below) or uninstall/reinstall and enter the new details again (and the script will create the file again). If changing output.txt, please note the following: -...

Re: Bindings Undefined
I'm pretty sure it saying 'undefined' there is normal. Try including {vf} in your naming scheme, have it actually try and calculate the names for a few files - and see if it properly includes it :-) You can see an example of a naming scheme using vf here: http://www.filebot.net/forums/viewtopic.php?...

Ah.. @romano, To fetch multiple subtitle languages, after you have installed the script (doesn't matter what you set the Lang as during install), go to c:\program files\cmdlets and run the new file there called change_subtitle_fetch_language.cmd. This will ask you how many subtitle languages you want to ...

out of curiosity, where did you install FileBot to, where are you running the portable version from, and are you using an admin account? also, what A/V are you using? it sounds like it's either permissions or java. Maybe try running the installed version of FileBot 'as administrator' to see if that ...
