A common cause seems to be that license.txt has somehow inadvertently been set to read-only at some point over the course of the year, which now prevents FileBot for writing your new license information.

The solution is to delete license.txt first and then install your new license as usual.
Step By Step Instructions:
- Open %AppData%
- Navigate to the FileBot folder
- Select license.txt
- Press the Delete key on your keyboard to delete the selected license.txt file
It seems that only Windows users with @hotmail and @live email accounts are affected, which is very strange. Any ideas? Perhaps a Windows Mail issue that somehow affects FileBot?
