Free Portable Version

Post by xadox »

I am using the portable version of FileBot now for several years.
Now I was searching for a newer build, but I am not able to find it anymore.

Is FileBot not free anymore?

FileBot is indeed not free of charge. In the past, you were supposed to make a donation based on how much it is worth to you, but now it is a simple paid application to make things less confusing for users (e.g. donation supported ≠ free).

If you have donated in the past, then you can request a promo code:

Unfortunately, no. Because the Windows Store is the most convenient and quickest way to purchase and install software on Windows.

 Since you mentioned that you never updated software in your OP, I'd like to note that the Windows Store will not just take care of installation but also automatic updates. So that software installed via the Store will always just work, over time, without you ever having to worry about anything.
