Season and absolute episode number not enough to remane?

Post by Biff »

When I try to rename these files (even when I add a "s06" or "season06" in front of the file names) the new names partly are wrong (shos e.g. s01). How could I correct that? When FileBot asks for the folder name / serries' name I enter "The Flintstones" (respectively in German "Familie Feuerstein"):

166.Steinstarke.Maenner.in.ihren.Flatterkisten.avi
165.Willkommen.im.Club.avi
164.Barney.und.Dripper.avi
163.Nur.wer.die.Eifersucht.kennt..avi
162.Fred.als.Lebensretter.avi
161.Boss.fuer.einen.Tag.avi
160.Rubineo.und.Juwelia.avi
159.Goldgraeber.avi
158.Galaktische.Wetten.avi
157.Ein.reichlich.langes.Wochenende.avi
156.Die.Wunderpillen.avi
155.Ehekrieg.avi
154.Doppelt.gemoppelt.avi
153.Der.falsche.Prinz.avi
152.Der.Traum-Taenzer.avi
151.Der.Maskenball.avi
150.Liebesgruesse.vom.Steinfinger.avi
149.Der.Torten-Flop.avi
148.Der.Picknick-Muffel.avi
147.Galaxius.vom.Saxilus.avi
146.Zementa.avi
145.Der.Jahrmarkt-Koenig.avi
144.Steinzeitjustiz.avi
143.Flimmergoetter.avi
142.Schwiegermutters.Haeuschen.avi
141.Fred.im.Star-Fieber.avi

or

s06 - 166.Steinstarke.Maenner.in.ihren.Flatterkisten.avi

or

Set Preferred Episode Order to Absolute Order.

If files area already ordered it's probably easier to just drag in the episode data manually and skip auto-matching entirely. See FAQ #2 for that.

Thank you, rednoah.
Set Preferred Episode Order to Absolute Order.
Where can I do it (but I want have the usual order)?
SHIFT-CLICK datasource to force manual input
When I SHIFT-CLICK on a file name in the left panel nothing happens, I guess I am missing anything.
See FAQ #2 for that.
Do you mean that:

Q: How do I "fix" the misidentified files?
A: If the series / movie is not detect correctly you can use SHIFT-CLICK datasource to force manual input and selection of series / movie name. As a last resort you can always grab the episode list in in the Episodes tool and then drag-n-drop or copy-n-paste things over into the Rename tool. Then click "Match" to automatically align files with episodes or use drag-n-drop to reorder file or episode items. Here's a video tutorial that'll show you how it works.

If you're using the cmdline you can do achieve the same via --q and --filter options. Here's a another video tutorial on how to do this from the cmdline.

Ah, OK, it works now, thank you very much.

Thank you very much, I like this video.
