Renaming Tool and Subtitles Language Code

Post by Lippo1993 »

Hey guys! I've discovered the software recently and i'm still learning how to fully use it. I've been trying to rename my files but i've faced a problem with the subtiltes. The problem is: all my files have English and Portuguese subtitles, each one with the .en and .pt code at the end of the file's name, so that Plex (or MHC or any Player) can identify the language and show it properly on the options.

Thus, the Renaming Tool, when detect the maching subtitles of a file, it rename it without the .en or .pt code. There's a solution for this? Or the app simply can't deal with this situation?

I thank you for any help!

Fully supported.

It depends solely on your format:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2

e.g.

Code: Select all

{n} - {s00e00} - {t}{'.'+lang}
Where {'.'+lang} evaluates to .eng or .por depending on the subtitle file.

Great! This basically solve my problem! But still, there's one little issue remaining =(

And also, some of my subtitles doesn't have the language code, what would make me go change it one by one. Can the program autodetect the language of the sub and add the code, or something like it?

Many thanks!

It's your code, you can make it work however you want.

I recommend this approach:
