Code: Select all

[xcb] Unknown sequence number while processing reply
[xcb] Most likely this is a multi-threaded client and XInitThreads has not been called
[xcb] Aborting, sorry about that.
java: ../../src/xcb_io.c:639: _XReply: Assertion `!xcb_xlib_threads_sequence_lost' failed.

Ubuntu 18.04 5.3.11-050311-generic

Re: 4.9 Beta

Yep, that happens once in a while. I've got no clue on that one. It's random, and I've never seen this one on my machine. Probably a platform issue unrelated to FileBot specifically.

 Please run filebot -script fn:sysinfo so we can collect statistical data.

 You could try disabling anything related to GTK, e.g. use Nimbus LaF instead of GTK LaF, and see if it makes a difference.

Did this work for you previously?

I've changed FileBot r6907 to not initialize JavaFX on start-up, which may be a viable workaround if it's really a timing issue. However, we also lose fail-fast behaviour on startup if JavaFX doesn't work.

1.
xcb_xlib_threads_sequence_lost is definitely UI related. I reckon that as far as the CLI is concerned, you'll never run into any related issue.

If you could try the latest beta release? That would be appreciated. It shouldn't crash on startup, but might still crash when JavaFX is actually being used later on during runtime, though it also might not.

2.
This is just missing dependencies, unrelated to _XREPLY, and can be ignored if you don't need support for MediaInfo or AcoustID:

Code: Select all

MediaInfo: net.filebot.mediainfo.MediaInfoException: Unable to load amd64 (64-bit) native library libmediainfo.so: Unable to load library 'mediainfo':
libmms.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
