FileBot Windows 7 - Drag-n-Drop does not work

Post by jojzep2005 »

Hi

I am a Newbie !

Been using FileBot - fantastic, but have a little problem in that I cant seem to Drag-n-Drop Files or Directories. When I try to drag a file I keep getting a little Circle with a Dash symbol wherever I try to Drag the file to on FileBot screen.

Is this normal ?

Thanks

No, drag and drop works. If it doesn't work then there's a general issue unrelated to FileBot.

Are you running FileBot as admin and then trying to drag folders from a Explorer that is running as user? These kinda things are not allowed by Windows.

Also @see http://www.filebot.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1868

I'll try it out. Your explanation sounds good.

Hi rednoah

Tried running FileBot and Explorer as Run as Administrator and still can drag files into FileBot.
PS: I have FileBot running on XP (yes, XP) and it runs perfectly.

Filebot drag and drop also quit working for me after I upgraded to v4.5. It had been working for months before that. I can't see anyway to revert to the previous version since it just downloads the latest when I try. Drag and Drop still works for all other programs under Windows 7. I think it must have something to do with Java 8.
