hello
I found this program last night and i find it's great to use.
But I've been having a problem using it in regards to anime episodes
I use the anidb to rename the files using the s00e00 format and it names the files properly
gives me this
Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion - E17 - Knight.mkv
but when i load the series into xbmc it doesn't pick up the episodes
but it does when i manually change the name of the file to
Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion - EP17 - Knight.mkv
Is there a way to have filebot at the P into the name?
Is there a setting in xbmc that I am missing?
I'm using ubuntu 14.04 and I'm a big novice to this OS. I believe I'm using filebot 4.5 but i'm not sure how I can check that.
xbmc version is 12.3
anime and xbmc naming issue
Re: anime and xbmc naming issue
didn't relaize that xbmc had a major update to a new version and name. I figured out how to upgrade to that and it's now picking up the anime names using the original format that filebot names them so that question is answered.
Not sure if this can be answered here but is there a way to set ubuntu 14.04 to autoupdate software or notify you that there is updates for software like xbmc/kodi?

1)
If you rename against AniDB then you should scrape those files with the AniDB scraper. If TheTVDB is used to scrape the data then it will fail in all cases where TheTVDB and AniDB data is different, which is often since anime don't have seasons in AniDB.
Hence, if you use TheTVDB scraper in XMBC then you should match with TheTVDB in FileBot.
2)
Yes. That's what apt-get does for all software installed via repositories.
