Filebot thinks file already exists: Wrong episode

Post by Tanyac »

Around the time I upgraded to 4.5.6 (and that may be purely coincidental), I have started having problems with some TV series'.

For example, Mythbusters S15E11: When I try to rename if Filebot says the file already exists. So I copied it to another location and tried. It renamed the file OK, but thinks it is S15E05, which does indeed exist in the original folder.

So why are the episode numbers incorrectly detected?

I'm using the console version. (due to conflict with AVCHDCOder and Java/Media info).
I can't find any log file.

This is the mediainfo for the S15E11 file..

I can't reproduce the issue:

I'd post an image but I can't login or sign up to imgur.

What other information can I give you to help?

Windows 7 x64, all latest patches. Java 8u60. (But the problem was the same with u45 and u51)
x86 version of Java, MediaInfo and Filebot (installed from MSI off FTP site).

This is the error message
"File already exists: MythBusters - S15E02 - The Busters of the Lost Myths.mkv"

1.
There is literally hundreds of alternatives to IMGUR, for example http://snag.gy/ which doesn't require you to sign up.

2.
If it's just this one file then you I'd just match it manually.

@see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btNSv7AnMMw

EDIT:

It can't work because there is NO Season 15 Episode 11.

@see http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid ... 6627&lid=7

Lol. I know some DBs don't think there is a S15. They are posted online as S15.. It's not just the one episode. It's several. The problem is also happening for a movie (contagion - That one comes up with a FileAlreadyExistsException: U:\Drama error).

https://kat.cr/usearch/mythbusters/

Perhaps there is the cause.. It appears theTVDB is a full 6 episodes behind. I have episodes 7 - 12.

IMDB has the episodes, but it calls it season 13.

mythbusters.s15e07.720p.hdtv.x264-mtg.mkv
mythbusters.s15e08.720p.hdtv.x264-mtg.mkv
mythbusters.s15e09.720p.hdtv.x264-mtg.mkv
mythbusters.s15e10.720p.hdtv.x264-mtg.mkv
mythbusters.s15e11.720p.hdtv.x264-mtg.mkv
MythBusters.S15E12.Unfinished.Business.720p.HDTV.x264-TASTETV.mkv

EDIT: TheTVDB calls the above episodes Season 16. So it appears that they are being posted everywhere as S15. IMDB calls them S13, TheTVDB calls them S16.. No wonder FB is having problems. IIRC, there were a couple of other TV shows with a similar problem - American Dad, The Universe? etc..

Yeah, FileBot will have trouble matching files when the SxE numbers are wrong or misleading, especially if the episode title isn't in the filename neither.

So the only solution is to manually rename them, right?

Well, time is money, I'd still use FileBot, except you'll have to align things manually:

Thanks.

BTW: I figured out what was causing the "FileAlreadyExistsException: U:\Drama" error.

I don't use RAID on my server, so media files are distributed across multiple physical drives. Because I've run out of drive letters, some genre's are stored on a different drive. These are accessed by symbolic links (mklink /d).

When I attempt to use Filebot on a folder that is linked I get this error (Eg. from my PC). If I go to the server, and to the drive/folder where the media file is physically stored, it works fine.

Thanks
Tanya
