I received the email saying I have an update available.
I clicked on the email link and downloaded Filebot-setup.exe (113KB).
When I ran it, this was displayed:
Clicking Retry caused the same image to be displayed.
Clicking Cancel resulted in "Installation aborted" window.
Then I downloaded "filebot-r4020.jar" from "https://sourceforge.net/projects/filebo ... ebot/HEAD/" and when I click on it, it runs as expected.
So I am a bit puzzled why the installer (Filebot-setup.exe) is needed at all.
Best regards,
Roger.
Installation on XP Fails To Download
Re: Installation on XP Fails To Download
1.
DO NOT USE WINDOWS XP. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. DO NOT USE IT! UPGRADE IMMEDIATELY!
2.
If the online installer does not work, try to download the MSI for your platform yourself.

2. Is the MSI any different from the "filebot-r4020.jar" that I downloaded (and works fine)?
PS. I've been using XP since day 1. I haven't had any viruses, botnets, rootkits, malware, etc, etc in at least 9 years. I hate Win 7. I hate Win 10. Don't even ask about Vista, 8 or 8.1!
