How to enable / use kerboard shortcuts for Presets?

Post by n4ken »

Hi new user about to donate but have run into a small problem.
I have been using filebot for a while now alongside my older program, Mediascout, and have got it working pretty much as I want :D
But as with most things computer will I every be truly happy :ugeek:

I have tried and looked everywhere I can but can find no way of useing the Preset keyboard shortcuts. There is plenty of mention of it but no where is there any actual explanation of how to use it!

Can you help as it's such a small problem it's driving me nuts!

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas to you all.

Did you create at least one user-defined preset? What happens if you press 1 (the keyboard key, not the numpad key)?

@see viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3228

Press 1 to run the first user-defined preset. Press 2 to run the second user-defined preset. And so on.

OK really fast reply.... thanks.

YES I have four user defined presets.
I drag some files into the left window and have tried pressing noumbers 1 - 4 on the keypad.
Nothing happens... Nada... Zilch!
Now there is every chance, nay distinct possibilty, I am doing something stupid and cannot see the wood for the tree's
but I sure as hell can't seem to get going on this.

Thanks again.

I've tested on Windows and Mac and it works.

Have you tried specifying the input in the Preset as well to see if that makes a difference?

Thanks again for the prompt reply..... had to walk the dog, not a euphemism for anything.

Anyway back to the job at hand.... no still no euphemism!

I'm happy to say that windows 10 has done it's usual bit of magic and after a full shutdown and fresh start it now works!

I will say that I may have gotten blinded by the line 'Keyboard shortcuts for calling user-defined Presets (Numpad 1.9)'
in window's store under 'What's new in this version'. Also that when you press, in this case, number '1' nothing appears to
happen for quite a while. Not a complain just an observation.

I gave the program a 5 star write up in window's store.

I really do appreciate your time and patience helping out a newbe.... I'll get on and register.
GREAT program

Thanks again.

1.
Numpad 1..9 should work, as long as the key codes are the same as the usual 1..9 keys.

2.
There seem to be issues with the visual indicator when running presets via keyboard shortcuts. Thanks for reporting. Will be fixed.
