URL's get renamed into CD's

Post by moriarty »

Hi All,

I'm a fresh user of Filebot, but am allready loving all it's features.
One issue that's bugging me however, which I'm unable to find an answer for just yet is how to exclude URL's included often in download packages (with often some advertising from the poster).
Currently they get renamed into separate "CD" folders.

Is there a way to exclude them all together just like .jpg .txt etc.?

Regards,
Robin

Thanks for the post! Before a real human comes by, please make sure your report has all the following points checked:
  • What are you trying to do achieve? What's not working? What have you tried so far?
  • Include screenshots, logs or filenames (i.e. demonstrate the issue)
  • Include basic information (i.e. sysinfo output)

Ok,... srry, now that I read back could have been a bit more clear indeed.

I'm on a Windows machine Renaming my Movie files.
I've edited my format into "Path: /{movie}/{movie}" which works pretty well.

Only, as mentioned, the Link files which are marked as "URL" are renamed, per URL, into folders called {movie}[CD1], {movie}[CD2] etc.
I'd like to exclude the URL's to be renamed totally...

Hope this clarifies..

1.
If you're using the GUI, please include screenshots.

2.
If you're using the command-line tool, please include command-line output.

Had to figure out how to include a screenshot for a moment, but this should work...

I see. You have *.url files that are processed alongside the movie folder.

You can only exclude those *.url files by not dropping them into FileBot in the first place. You could drop in just the movie files. However, I'd just do a search for *.url and delete all of those files.

You can also press the DELETE key to remove files from FileBot.

Hadn't thought along that route, but I think you're right that a search and delete is probably by far the easiest and fastest.

Thanks!!
