Pop-up menu colors in Mac are wrong

I am also struggling on windows in Dark mode to read the selected item. It is very difficult to read the selected item when you are standing on it.
When there is only one item you cant move off it.

I don't see people complaining about this, don't know why it is so bad for me then.
Is there a way I can alter the colors somewhere, maybe I missed it.

I include a screenshot of such a selected item.


I have investigated some more and can see this is only for unmatched or pre-match items, it is still very bad.
When items has been matched it is nice and readable. please make the unmatched items selection color same as the other selection.

I guess you could not use Dark Mode for the time being? The Windows System Look-and-Feel should work just fine:

I have been managing by selecting the entry above or below and squinting badly when there is only one.

As long as there will be healing in the future I should be able to manage for now. Thanks
