I select a file or folder (Load -> Select Folder or Select Files) but the Original Files section remains empty

Hello everyone!!!

I am using FileBot version 5.1.6 on Windows 10 Pro. When I select a file or folder (Load -> Select Folder or Select Files), after confirmation, the Original Files section is still empty. Previously this function worked fine in the old version. However, running the script is fine. Anyone who has experience fixing this error or how to handle it, please share! Do I need to change any settings or update?

What does the log say? Does it work if you select files from your Desktop or User Home folder?


You can configure FileBot to use a different file chooser implementation if the standard Windows file chooser does not work for you for one reason or another:

Properties: Select all

net.filebot.UserFiles.fileChooser=Swing

Alternatively, you can use drag-n-drop to drag files from Windows Explorer into FileBot.


Alternatively, you can use CTRL+C to copy files in Windows Explorer and CTRL+V to paste the file paths into FileBot.
