In the previous version, in the Rename section, double-click opened browser link corresponding to the movie. In 4.0 double-click opens format editor. Is the old feature hidden somewhere or it is lost? If so, where can i find the previous version of FileBot since I loved that feature and it was very handy especially when preparing files for XBMC scraper?
Thanks
Double-click changed
Re: Double-click changed
Sorry, opening the Format Editor on the clicked data just makes more sense, and allows you to inspect the data.
I guess you used it to open the page of a certain movies, but any info you'd be looking up with the browser you could easily look up using the Format Editor for all entries.

Re: Double-click changed
Thanks for your prompt reply.
Maybe I have to elaborate a bit my experience...
I am a heavy XBMC user and I have tested many renaming programs and I have to admit your one just rocks. I virtually have 100% success rate in scraping. The worst nightmare is wrongly scraped movie title and cleaning after that. Common reasons for errors are similarity in names, different years, difference between english and original titles etc. However, a simple click on the renamed movie shows the actual linked movie in the referred database (IMDB or TMDB) - a quick look is enough to know that the right movie will be scraped afterwords in XBMC. In Format Editor you deal only with the movie name/format i.e. you have to know EXACTLY all details about the NAME of the movie to be sure that it was properly renamed -too slow and tedious. Furthermore, most users have already chosen a certain renaming format that they want, not only that, even if they are not happy with the results they can call the Format Editor from the contextual menu (right click).
Just a simple questions - will opening the browser to the linked movie be integrated in future release let say in the contextual menu or the Format Editor itself? Thank you also for keeping copy of older versions. I have to admit that I will stick with v 3.8 for now since it has done such a great job for me and my XBMC.
I am testing the ability of FileBot and subtitle uploading to Open Subtitles but this is another topic to discuss.
all the best for now

Re: Double-click changed
My point is, when you open the TheMovieDB page, what information is it you're looking for to make sure it's the correct movie? And isn't it annoying to open the browser for every single movie?
Here's what you do:
1. Match movies and set this format:
2. Now you see all the information you could possibly need right within filebot and confirm all the matches.
3. Switch back to the real movie format and rename everything.
Here's what you do:
1. Match movies and set this format:
Code: Select all
{n} ({y}) by {director} with {actors.take(3)} -- {info.overview}
3. Switch back to the real movie format and rename everything.
