I had the Mac App Store version and separate Subtitles and after the update, renaming stopped working and subtitles stopped loading. I figured maybe it was an issue with the MAS version so I bought the license for the standalone version (I don't mind buying twice as I use this app daily and it has changed my media storage completely).
Even after registering the standalone, I still seem to have the same problems. When trying to rename files it just hangs and never matches and when trying to add subs it does the same.

Do you get any error messages? Does the log indicate any particular issue?

What does "hang" mean exactly? Does the application freeze? Do network requests time out after a few minutes? Does it hang on matching, or on renaming, or elsewhere?
