Anime not getting season #

I'm presently using this algorithim:

{n}.{s00e00}.{t}

I've found that with anime that has only a single season (it may be all anime in general; I can't recall, exactly), it doesn't get "S01" in the title. Instead, the entire S00 is skipped and I just end up with Title.E01.Name instead of Title.S01E01.Name.

I've checked this with TV shows and they do get renamed with a S01 (etc), but anime does not.

Suggestions? I'm really tired of manually adding the S## to 12 - 26 files >_>

Hi Kymus,

Anime, as a general rule, do not have "Seasons" in the traditional sense, so they are not listed in the output. If you are using AniDB as your source, this will become clear as there is no season data (all episode numbers are absolute). Second 'seasons' are actually listed as different shows.

If you are using TheTVDB as the source for your anime, which I would advise against as its not what it was designed for, the Seasons you are seeing there are what American distributors have added after the fact.

This is why people generally use two different naming schemes for TV Shows and Anime.

Thanks for the input.

A few months ago I had to wipe the drive for my HTPC. I swear I never had this problem, previously (though what you said makes complete sense). I wish I knew what the heck the naming scheme I was using back then was. Well, whatev; as long as XBMC picks it up, I don't care what naming scheme is used .

Is there a way for me to use different naming schemes automatically for different indexers?

edit: I'm getting BindingError: "vf": invalid media file: null; suggestions?

No. Because you don't need to (once you understand the format expressions).

How would the format editor know which media file you wanna test the format with? Suggestion: Set a media file to test with.
