for the heck of me I can not get this picked up correctly

I have used tags with Rising Impact , TV , 2024 , and even tried raizinguinpakuto

it always spits out Twin Peaks , The First , The Prince , Twin , Camelot

13k Anime renamed and this is the first that has really done this

rising impact is the only result that pops up

also yeild me nothing how can I pin it down ? its a netflix so no idea why english is not hooking it in ?
is it the hash codes doing it ?

i have even nuked the cache folder ~/.filebot/cache

You can always SHIFT-CLICK <Episode Mode: TheTVDB> and then enter 443124 when prompted. Please read FAQ #2 and Manual Matching for details.

Pressing the F7 key would have saved you and me time. Logging in via SSH and running an ls command that adds leading and trailing ' is unnecessary work for you and adds unnecessary work for me. find $PWD -type f would have worked, but pressing F7 when you have FileBot open and files loaded in already is probably still a bit quicker.

So I ran tests with that and cannot reproduce the issue, just works as expected-out-of-the-box:

If you consistently get different results, then something is different. The likely culprit might be xattr metadata from previous rename operations that went awry and were manually reverted (instead of reverting via FileBot) or rogue NFO / URL files lying around in the same folder and forcing different IDs.

2024 Rising Impact does give me wonky results with mismatches from "The Rising" and "Impact" though. Name (Year) is the established norm, so Year Name is expected to work less well, sometimes more less well, sometimes less less well.

no Nfo files and never had those TV series ever before either pretty much only collect Anime

I symlink files into a empty folder then have filebot rename those Multimedia system's folders for scraping

it did not do this to the serieres before and after they worked as intended

Today when I did it it worked so still no idea what was going on the other day , the other odd thing was when I had kodi scrape that folder it picked it up just fine
it was only when trying to get filebot to do it

I even tried while using roots profile and it was going the same thing , so I guess maybe something on tvdb's end , not that would explain why it was only that series

tried many things today and could not break it again on this series working as expected I'll try and remember F7 function next time

actually I think I found the issue when I first did it I never noticed the series name was missing , then everytime I tried with the series name added filebot must have kept using the last results until I forced it with tvdb's number
even after the cache was wiped , so what would have filebot been looking at ?

Yes, if you incorrectly rename files, then that match is somewhat locked-in, i.e. FileBot will be inclined to match the file to the same series / episode that was matched previously.

FileBot knows the previously matched episode because it stores xattr metadata after processing files. If you accidentally miss-rename files, then you must use FileBot ➔ Revert to both un-rename files and reset xattr metadata.

You can check if files have xattr metadata by dropping them into the Filter tool:

You probably just deleted the miss-renamed symlinks, then symlinked the original files again, and then renamed the symlinks to include the series name in the symlink name, then dropped files into FileBot again. However, the xattr metadata added to the target file (a symlink in your case) after renaming was actually stored to the original file since the target file is a symlink. So when you just deleted the symlinks, that did of course not reset the xattr metadata attached to the original file. If you use FileBot ➔ Revert to undo symlink operations, then FileBot will correctly delete the symlink and reset the xattr metadata attached to the link target.

I actually deleted both my symlink files and the filebot created symlink files and folders
the only reason I had noticed was their was a couple of Live Action TV show's in my Anime collection that was scrapped so they pretty much got immediately nuked

I normally do not use the undo feature because it's normally easier to bulk alter from a fresh symlink set
ie) if I need to add name to the files or tweak the season files around
next time I will use revert plus delete the files and start again

amazed it has taken a decade for this to happen

also interesting how your filter / parts : picks up the multiple physical drives the files are stored on even tho the symlinks are going into a mergerfs pool
anyway for this to show the dev names ?
*edit* nevermind just noticed the 4gb split down the bottom , I guess that is just for backup purposes
