Using preset after match

Seems like an obvious thing I’m missing. If I have performed a match and the new names are populated how can I then apply my preset naming format? Example. When I drag episode names into the new name box it uses the names from episode window. I want to have the names in my preset custom format. On a side, but possibly related, note if I select all on the new names side and want to format, how do I do that. Left clicking to get the edit menu only lets me do one file.

 A Preset defines a specific database / specific episode order / specific language to match against, a specific custom format to generate target file names with, etc, all at once. If you want to use a specific custom format, then you'll want to modify the Preset accordingly and then click on that Preset to match & format accordingly:

 If you use the Fetch & Match Data popup then it's just about selecting a database, and all the other settings are whatever you have configured previously, including the default Episode format:

 Regardless of how an item in New Names came to be, you can always use Fetch & Match Data āž” Edit Format (to open the Format Editor with generic sample information) or Double-Click <New Names item> āž” Edit Format (to open the Format Editor for the specific item / information at hand) and then change the format for this item type. If you drag-n-drop Episode items from the Episode tool into the Rename tool (i.e. manual matching) then the default Episode format will be used to format these Episode items. So if you want to change how files are named, without matching files again, then you'll want to use Edit Format to change the custom format currently being used to format Episode matches currently at hand.
