FileBot

I ran into something odd while using FileBot with TV shows that follow airing dates. Expected the episodes to line up with my calendar sync on Plex, but a few ended up shifted by one day. This started after I switched to a different source for episode data, so maybe that’s part of it. Tried refreshing metadata and even re-running the rename, same result on a couple of shows. Not an expert here, just testing different setups. Anyone else had issues where episode dates don’t match external calendar sync tools?

You mean to say you found unexpected behaviour after enabling the Set creation date post-processing feature? The episode airdate is typically not relevant in the context of FileBot.


Can you give a specific episode that shows up with different airdates in different applications?


Note that you must not mix databases, e.g. you'll want to use TheMovieDB in both FileBot and Plex when naming and numbering files. Different databases might use different numbers / airdates / etc. See [FAQ] Why can I not use TheTVDB and TheMovieDB interchangeably? for details.
