[FAQ] Why can I not use TheTVDB and TheMovieDB interchangeably?

TheTVDB and TheMovieDB often case list the same TV shows with the same series name, season / episode numbers, etc, but this is not guaranteed for all cases. The same "episode" may be organized in vastly different ways in different databases.

e.g. Bully for Bugs from the Looney Tunes Collection

TheMovieDB organizes Bully for Bugs (1953) as Movie and not as TV Series:

TheTVDB organizes Looney Tunes - Bully for Bugs as Episode and not as Movie:

You therefore need to keep in mind the database you have configured in your library settings and then name and organize your files as required by that database when using FileBot to organize files for Plex.
