Ubuntu app review team seems to be extremely lazy... but that's not the issue here. FileBot v4.5.2 should work fine.

Which Ubuntu version are you running on? Precise or Trusty?

If you run FileBot GUI from console (just call "filebot" without arguments) do you get any error output?

libmediainfo.so should be available as part of the package and work out of the box.

Is it possible that the FileBot window was somehow moved outside of the screen?

Can you try this and see if you can reproduce the issue?

Reset FileBot using this:

Code: Select all

filebot -clear-cache -clear-prefs
And then start FileBot again.

Does it always spawn out of the screen bounds?

Did you recently use a second monitor and it somehow remembered to be placed there?

I guess there's something wonky on Ubuntu with the default location. I'll force a good initial location for future versions (r2765+).

Thanks for pointing out this issue! Much appreciated. :)

If it works well I hope you can find time to leave a review in the Software Center as well. ;)
