Rename Folders - Mac
Rename Folders - Mac
How do I rename folders on a Mac? I can drag and drop the files into FileBot and the files are renamed as expected. However, the folder name remains the same. I watched a youtube video called "FileBot Rename Movie Folders" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbHPC0o4Uqo), but that video focused on Windows. The explanation on the video says to: "Use Link-Drop (Ctrl+Shift+Drop on Windows and Ubuntu, Control+Drop on Mac) to add folders as folders rather then the files inside the given folders." Unfortunately, 'Control+Drop' does not work on the Mac. Is there a new command that will complete this task? After searching the Forum, there are several posts about creating scripts to accomplish this task. I was hoping there was a simple way to do this. Similar to what is shown in the YouTube video mentioned above. Thanks.

Depends on how you've configured the Modifier Keys. The LINK drop action will allow you to add folders directly.Thijs van Vught wrote:On a Mac: grab the folder and press Ctl+Shift
Sometimes the drop action doesn't update until you move the mouse around. Just keep keep the modifiers pressed and move around the mouse a little bit. I've tried it with the latest Mac OS X and it's definitely working.

Thank you. Control+Shift works perfectly. I was confused because the wording on the YouTube video said 'Control+Drop'. Problem solved!
