No files selected for processing

Post by LukeE »

Hi I am having a few issues getting Filebot node running. I apologize as I don't have a great knowledge on linux systems.

I followed the steps provided in the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N6hYNj_QzY

I have progressed from Java not found to getting No files selected for processing. I hope I am not just totally missing something that is obvious, I have gone through all the other topics but can't find the solution.

I have java version "1.8.0_51"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_51-b07)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 25.51-b07, mixed mode)

FileBot 4.6 (r3052) / Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_51 (headless)

When I run filebot node I get

No files selected for processing

Any and all help would greatly be appreciated, I have used the windows version for a long time and no issues.

That means it's working perfectly fine but there's nothing to be processed now, that hasn't been processed previously.

Posting the full log would be appreciated. So we can see what options you've set.

I am total noob. How do I get the log file? I can view it through the DSM under package centre, but can't seem to copy and past that text. I see you talk about Groovy Pad but no idea what that means.

Thanks again

Ok so I had a look at some log files through putty. Im not sure which ones are the ones you want to see

I had a look under filebot-node/log/

Code: Select all

filebot -script 'fn:amc' /volume1/downloads/Unsorted/ --output /volume1/downloads/Sorted --action hardlink -non-strict --conflict auto --lang en --def 'clean=y' 'skipExtract=y' 'seriesFormat={n} - {s00e00} - {t}' 'excludeList=.excludes' --log info --log-file '/volume1/@appstore/filebot-node/filebot.log'

Please set Log Level to everything instead of only results and errors in the FileBot Node UI and try again.

Ok I set to log everything and got

Code: Select all

filebot -script 'fn:amc' /volume1/downloads/Unsorted/ --output /volume1/downloads/Sorted --action test -non-strict --conflict auto --lang en --def 'clean=y' 'skipExtract=y' 'seriesFormat={n} - {s00e00} - {t}' 'excludeList=.excludes' --log all

------------------------------------------

Run script [fn:amc] at [Sun Aug 16 19:49:06 GMT+10:00 2015]
Parameter: clean = y
Parameter: skipExtract = y
Parameter: seriesFormat = {n} - {s00e00} - {t}
Parameter: excludeList = .excludes
Argument: /volume1/downloads/Unsorted
Using excludes: /volume1/downloads/Sorted/.excludes (0)
No files selected for processing
Failure (°_°)
Did you want to see the other logs also? They dont seem any different to the ones I posted previously

Are you sure that there are any media files in your Unsorted folder?

(if you're testing with empty files you'll need to adjust the minimum file size options)

There are definitely files in that folder. I also just moved my recently downloaded files into that folder. So under unsorted I have sub folders for downloaded episodes, I even have just a single media file not under a sub folder. It should pick up something, but nothing

Even if I select one of the sub folders inside unsorted it still finds nothing for processing

Ok I made a folder under downloads called episodes. I moved a single file to that folder, ran it again and got a success, but it didn't actually rename anything or move anything.

In dry run does it simulate the process but not actually complete the tasks? Or should it have actually renamed and moved the file in a dry run?

Ok I managed to get it all working and understand things a lot better now.

For some reason Filebot was excluding the whole contents of those 2 directories. When I moved files to a new directory under downloads it started finding files.

Now that I have it working I have set it up to copy files straight to my actual episodes folder structure, everything is working there. I just have one last question. Is there a way to change where filebot saves the excludes file to? It was saving it to downloads/sorted but I deleted it and also deleted the sorted folder. Now each time it runs I get a new folder created called sorted and the .excludes file is placed there.

I have no need for that sorted folder and would like to let it place the .excludes file anywhere else except that folder.

Thanks again

Ok totally sorted now. Just played around with the custom format and also the output folder. Everything seems to be how I wanted it

Thanks again for all the help.
