FileBot Node doesn't work on DSM 6
FileBot Node doesn't work on DSM 6
Hi,
I have just installed filebot and filebot node from the package centre on my Synology 1511+.
The version I installed is 0.1.7 which I got via the Synology package center at "https://app.filebot.net/syno/"
I tried the node version first but it fails with the following error:
{"request":{"id":12,"xhr":undefined,"headers":{},"options":{"method":"GET","url":"https://derek.synology.me:5453/execute" ... TELEVISION RECORDINGS - NOT PROCESSED","label":"","action":"move","output":"/volume1/VIDEO/TELEVISION RECORDINGS - DONE","artwork":"on","clean":"on","filter":"","subtitles":"","lang":"en","conflict":"auto","ignore":"","minLengthMS":"","minFileSize":"","excludeList":".excludes","movieFormat":"","seriesFormat":"","animeFormat":"","musicFormat":"","unsortedFormat":"","exec":"","plex":"","xbmc":"","pushover":"","pushbullet":"","log":"info"},"useDefaultXhrHeader":false,"cors":true,"noCache":true},"async":true,"binary":false,"timedout":true},"requestId":12,"status":0,"statusText":"communication failure","timedout":true}
I unfortunately have no idea how to progress and dont know what I have done wrong.
Could someone give me a bit of advice as to what to try next?
I did try the command line version using:
"filebot -script fn:amc --output "/volume1/VIDEO/TELEVISION RECORDINGS - DONE" --action move -non-strict "/volume1/VIDEO/TELEVISION RECORDINGS - NOT PROCESSED" --def excludeList=amc.txt"
And this seems to work OK but I would like to gave the GUI version working also if possible.
I ran "filebot -script fn:synoinfo" as suggested in the "how to ask for help" post. it didnt seem to work:
DiskStation> filebot -script fn:synoinfo

I am not sure if I have installed the correct version as there was only one available from the package center.
I also dont know if I have java 32bit or 64bit installed (I am a bit of a noob at all this, still learning)
Thanks in advance for any suggestions anyone can give me.

Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
1.
The browser can't connect to the node service, i.e. a network/firewall issue. Follow this thread, and try all the things that I suggest there: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3239
2.
It's sysinfo, not synoinfo.

Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
Hi Rednoah,
Thanks for your help.
I followed the link yo gave and after reading the other posts I tried an uninstall of filebot and java and reinstall of the java you have via your sinology package and this did the trick.
I have one other question.
I have a synology running tvheadend. I would like to use filebot to rename the recorded media so I can use it in plex.
If I move the recorded media I wil be able to delete the movie/tv show via plex but tvheadend will show the file as a failed recording as it has been moved.
I have been looking at hard and symbolic links and move and symlink back but I am not sure whether any of these will work.
I want to have no tvheadend failed recordings but still be able to delete the recording via plex. would any other these work?
thanks,
Degsy

Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
I don't think Plex will delete the file as well as the symlink if you use symlinks. You'll probably end up using hardlinks, but that won't save you from having to delete files twice before the diskspace is freed.

Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
Hey,
I currently got the GUI to open up on Synology, but I'm having an error with JAVA. I then installed JAVA via the synology app system but after restarting the device I still have the same issue.
Here is a screenshot of my install path for JAVA if that helps as I can see it's looking in the wrong place.

Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
You need Java 8 so you can't use the Synology Java Manager.

Hi ! And thanks for all the work you've been doing here !
I've got the same kind of error. I haven't succedded installing Java 8, Java installer is working but doesn't accept it. I tried to follow your instructions but it doesn't work too (here).
My Syno is a DS215J (MARVELL Armada 375 88F6720).
And last : happy new year to all of you

Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
I've found a solution here. It's a JAVA 8 package and now it works !
I've set a task. I'm waiting for the results now.

Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
That's what I got :
Code: Select all
filebot -script 'fn:amc' /volume1/Torrents/Incoming --output /volume1/video --action hardlink -non-strict --conflict auto --lang fr --def 'music=y' 'artwork=y' 'subtitles=fra' 'skipExtract=y' 'seriesFormat=TV Shows/{n}/Season {s}/{n} - {sxe} - {t}' 'animeFormat=Anime/{n} ({y})/{n} ({y})' 'movieFormat=Movies/{n} ({y})/{n} ({y})' 'musicFormat=Music/Mes Albums/' 'excludeList=.excludes' --log info --log-file '/volume1/@appstore/filebot-node/filebot.log'

1.
So what did the Unofficial Java Installer log say? Click View Log and send me a screenshot please.
2.
/volume1/Torrents/Incoming doesn't exist, or you don't have the right permissions.

Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
Point 2. was a touch down ^_^ !
I precisely haven't the right permissions on /volume1/Torrents/Incoming.

I'm still curious as to why my Java Installer package didn't work. Please send me the logs.I wrote:So what did the Unofficial Java Installer log say? Click View Log and send me a screenshot please.

Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
I'm sorry but since I've installed the unofficial, there are no logs for Java Manager anymore.
Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
So my Unofficial Java Installer is working after all? Java Manager is made by Synology so I don't care about that one.

OK. I think I missunderstood you ! That is correct, your Unofficial Java Installer is working.

Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
Hi !
Since the last update of the DSM (6.0-7321), Filebot (4.6.1) works but filebot node (0.1.8) fails (Message error on the Filebot window : "Sorry, the page you are looking for is not found."). I've uninstalled and reinstalled both but it's always the same.
Any idea ? thanks !

The journal of Filebot Node message is :
/volume1/@appstore/filebot-node/server/start.sh: line 30: /usr/bin/node: No such file or directory
Re: Synology - Filebot works but filebot node fails
I've uploaded a test package that should work on DSM 6.
Please try and give me feedback:

Re: FileBot Node doesn't work on DSM 6
I guess this is it : filebot-node-0.2.0-noarch.spk
I'm asked to install first node.js v.4. Then filebot-node-0.2.0.
The install went good. But I have the same window message at the launch of the app : "Sorry, the page you are looking for is not found."
The journal says :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/m8rwpx7smfydd ... e.PNG?dl=0
(sorry, I couldn't manage the photo...)

I don't know what you did but today it's all clear ! filebot-node-0.2.0 works ! Thank you so much ! ^_^
Re: FileBot Node doesn't work on DSM 6
I have also installed node.js v.4, filebot-node-0.2.0-noarch.spk, and the ejdk 1.8.0_77.
But trying to start filebot node, I still got the error message "Failed to run the service package" (as I got with the previous version of filebot node).
I did reboot my Synology (just in case) but it didn't help...
NB.: nothing in the log.

Re: FileBot Node doesn't work on DSM 6
I had the same message first. Then the next morning I tried again and I don't know how but it worked !
Re: FileBot Node doesn't work on DSM 6
You could try starting the filebot-node service yourself via ssh/root (start script is in /var/packages/filebot-node/target somewhere) and see what the output says.
