[SOLVED]Subtitles Renaming option change the default value

Post by theobserver »

Hi all,

i have searched the forum because i am not lazy (or so i think) but did not find the answer.

So,
is there a way to set match video as the default renaming option?

Thank you for your time reading this.

Regards,
the_observer.

Re: Renaming set match video as default

What is a "set match", to set a match (?), rename a set (?), what video, as default for what? So many questions...

Logs, screenshots, examples, clear description of the problem, clear description of a possible solution ...

... this post is lacking it all. I have no idea what you're trying to say, so I'm gonna ignore this thread for now. ;)

Well,

it seems i am lazy after all

(Crowd Voice ---> Happy you understood the_observer. )

not to mention that i have asked wrong things.

(Crowd Voice--> Oh boy!Better go visit a psychiatrist observer if you expect to get answers when you set wrong questions  )

Now let me try to explain better my question.

(Crowd Voice---> Yeah, better do that orelse Rednoah will not be able to help)

so ,
hi all again,

using filebot for downloading subtitles is cool and works like a breeze but i have a question if i may.

In the subtitles filebot window there is an option (downright) to rename the subtitles at the same time they are downloaded which has these values :

Code: Select all

match Video and Language/Match Video/Keep original
the default selection in these values is the: 'match Video and Language'

is there a way to change the default value to e.g. 'Match Video' ?

Hopefully i explained my question better this time.
(Crowd Voice --> Yeah like the last time  )

Thank you for your time reading this and excuse my lame English.

Regards,
the_observer.

P.S. The title of the post has been corrected.

I see. You want that combobox in the subtitle download dialog to remember your selection. Unfortunately I have very strong opinions on how files should be named. Selecting anything other than Match Video and Language is a very bad idea.

Match Video violates the subtitle naming standard, so if you want to make bad choices, I'm afraid you'll have to consciously make that bad choice every single time, or just leave the recommended options as they are.
