my bad again. have already run it on Windows 7.
installed Java 64-bit. now it works fine. be back to purchase after more tests.

1. {home} is your $HOME folder as defined by the operating system. It can't be changed. 2. You need 64-bit Java. Alternatively, getting FileBot from the Windows Store will just work regardless of whether or not you've set up Java correctly on your machine. Please read this thread: https://www ...

sorry. that was really dumb. don't have to actually use {home}...
now...how do you say "Go". got the location and format I like but cannot get FileBot to actually do the move.
clicked Rename button but nothing happened.

my movies are not stored in c:\Users\[user]\...
also, already have a number of very basic questions which are not answered by FAQ or videos that i have watched so far.
