also, already have a number of very basic questions which are not answered by FAQ or videos that i have watched so far.
is there a manual somewhere?
how do I set {home}?
Re: how do I set {home}?
sorry. that was really dumb. don't have to actually use {home}...
now...how do you say "Go". got the location and format I like but cannot get FileBot to actually do the move.
clicked Rename button but nothing happened.

Re: how do I set {home}?
1.
{home} is your $HOME folder as defined by the operating system. It can't be changed.
2.
You need 64-bit Java. Alternatively, getting FileBot from the Windows Store will just work regardless of whether or not you've set up Java correctly on your machine.

this means that FileBot only works on Windows 10?
Re: how do I set {home}?
my bad again. have already run it on Windows 7.
installed Java 64-bit. now it works fine. be back to purchase after more tests.
thanks for your help!

The Windows Store works only on Windows 10, but FileBot works on older machines, anything that runs Java 8.
