Yep, just something unusual that wasn't covered yet. Future revisions will be more aware of -=...=- patterns and more inclined to ignore them out-of-the-box.

Re: list of "names" to add to file name

1. As for normalization, that would work like so; check for some known patterns, yield some constant value in response: { f =~ /Extended|Extentet|Long.Version/ ? ' [Extended Cut]' : null } :idea: You might end up with lots of pattern / value pairs. You could maintain those in an external text file, ...

Re: add WEBRip to a file but only if the source is unknown?

1.
e.g.

Code: Select all

{ '.' + any{ vs }{ 'WEBRip' } }
:idea: viewtopic.php?t=1895

2.
If all your files follow the <name> - <clutter> pattern then a custom format for Plain File Mode should be rather straight-forward:

Code: Select all

{ fn.before(/ - /) }

Re: list of "names" to add to file name

I see. So it's more like you're using Edit Name to manually add tags to some of your files, because {tags} doesn't work for files that don't already have a tag like [Extended] in the file name. There's definitely no UI for anything like that. But your format code could certainly conjure up a value b...

Re: list of "names" to add to file name

Do you mean to drop different versions of the same movie into "Original Files", match them, and then have FileBot ask you to select one specific version when clicking "Rename" and thus only process one of the files? That seems out of scope. You could just press the DELETE key for items you don't wan...

Re: Renaming Multi Episode Files

Same concept. The title that has been entered into your selected database doesn't follow that standard pattern, and so FileBot can't detect that these two titles are supposed to be the same. EDIT: If it's just a one-off, then I'd just use Double-Click ➔ Edit Name to fix it manually before renaming c...

Re: Renaming Multi Episodes

The first step is to use a default format such as {plex.name} just to confirm that FileBot has fundamentally identified the files as MultiEpisode object. So that we can focus on correctly formatting this MultiEpisode in a second step. :idea: {s00e00} and {t} work correctly out-of-the-box for me. htt...

Re: [arm64] Apple Silicon Roadmap

No ETA since arm64 support in FileBot requires arm64 support in all 3rd party dependencies, many of which have not been updated in years. The x86_64 binaries are known to work well via on arm64 via Rosetta binary translation though.

I've tried with a new file named dexter.new.blood.s01e05.mkv and it works correctly out-of-the-box. Re: How to get Filebot to ignore dump folder

Thanks for the screenshot. I was able to reproduce the issue with some files (though notably for -=DOWNS=-/the.rookie.s4e08.mkv it does not seem to ask) so I might be able to make this work better out-of-the-box for future revisions with some debugging and testing. :arrow: The workaround you can app...

Re: Expression Help - I can't seem to test for null or not exist.

I guess you mean to write some sort of nested set of conditions like this: { def x = any{ audio.language.size() }{ 0 } def m = x >= 10 ? 24 : x == 2 ? 18 : x == 1 ? 6 : 0 } :!: This is notably not the way to find out the length of a String value. I had expected that if the mapper couldn't be used for an episode (or special in this case), it would just do nothing or skip that object vs throw an error. The error case is subject to change, and my change from version to version depending on the feedback and kind of issues users run into in prod...
