Re: WebDL and BDrip

{source} can be either WebDL or BDrip or some other value but cannot ever be both at the same time:

Re: Settings file location

Yes, same as the above. Store apps have their own dedicated app data folder though. Please see FAQ for details. EDIT: Q: Where is the application data folder? The default location for application data such as log files is %APP_DATA% on Windows and ~ on Mac and Linux. Please Press F5 if you need help...

Re: [FRENCH] Uppercase after an aporstrophe (or other character)

You'll have to learn and play with regular expressions until you can match exactly the characters you want to upper case:

Re: [FRENCH] Uppercase after an aporstrophe (or other character)

The official name is Falcon et le Soldat de l'hiver but you can always write custom format code to fix things up. The built-in n.upperInitial() can't be used in this case because it doesn't capitalize letters after ' due to this not being desirable in other languages. e.g. match custom regular expre...

Re: I bought Filebot from the Microsoft store for $9.99 in late 2016. Do I get some legacy license?

If you purchase and install FileBot via the Microsoft Store, then it will never ask for a license. If FileBot is asking for a license, then you're not using the Microsoft Store version. Please uninstall all versions of FileBot that you may have installed, and then install FileBot exclusively via the...

Re: [BETA] FileBot for Synology DSM 7.0

Well... You can always try the uninstall and restart part first, clear browser cache, etc. That might give us additional clues. But the log is probably our last best hope of finding out what exactly is and isn't working. Could be some built-in ad block mechanism. Could be some firewall. Could be the...

Re: How to rename only TV shows in a folder containing shows and movies

--file-filter "s != 0" conceptually can't work because s only works for Episode type objects, but you're working with File type objects in --file-filter context, so s is always undefined. You'll have to do what you're doing in your --format , i.e. using regular expressions to check the file name to...

Re: [BUG-Help] Take your pills!

Nearby *.nfo files typically contain the movie ID for the movie being processed, which is extremely reliable in most cases, and also not much of a problem if it's wrong, since you can always select a different movie instead. If the files was named Cruella then that might have been the top choice / s...

IDK. FileBot uses the Preferences API and how that maps to the Windows Registry is an implementation detail that FileBot itself doesn't know. Re: We need a button to get access to the options via Groovy Pad or just in the app

Well, the problem existed in 1991 and it exists 2021 so I guess there's no perfect solution. I'd copy the entire %USERPROFILE% once in a while (a few GB is a small price to pay for peace of mind) so you've got everything backed up, and then restore the app data folders, case by case, for each applic...

Re: [BETA] FileBot for Synology DSM 7.0

You can use filebot -script fn:sysinfo to see what $USER is calling filebot . /usr/local/bin/filebot does not change user, so it's running the commands as whatever using is calling it. There's no magic. Please read cat /usr/local/bin/filebot for details. :!: If Synology Scheduler is running things a...

Re: Preserve subtitle suffixes during rename

The subtitle language tag is added by your format, or not, depending on your format. Please use the {plex} format instead of your current custom format, since that will do what you want by default. Alternatively, you can add {subt} to your custom format.

The remote share is a Qnap. And I am using a Mac. It is supposed to support hardlink as the Filebot Node app does hardlinks well on it.
