I am thinking about trying out Filebot as it looks like an awesome utility. Problem is I have many files that have already been renamed without Filebot. Can subtitles still be automatically matched with these (via MD5 or something) or do you have to go the manual trial and error route?
Thanks.
New user question about subs and renamed files
Re: New user question about subs and renamed files
1.
I'd fetch subtitles first then.
2.
OpenSubtitles hash lookup doesn't care about the filename, only the "movie hash". But having the original names help with matching if "movie hash" isn't available. In which case you should download the subtitle, and then upload again with FileBot.

Thanks for the swift reply.
2. Good to know there is a hash option. I assume that if I upload it again with Filebot, that it will add in missing hashes for those who follow. Good to know, as well.
Thanks again!
1. I can do that from now on, but obviously not for the ones already changed.rednoah wrote:1.
