i would like to know if you would consider to add the option to specify the port for the automatic Kodi scan.
I looked at your script and its hardcoded..
I had to change the port on my system because another aplication (LogitechMediaServer) already uses this port.
Yep, for the rare case where Kodi isn't running on the standard port you'll have to fork and modify the amc script. But why not just change the LogitechMediaServer port? I doubt there's any 3rd party apps talking to that one.

Actually yes there are, a lot of actually. I have a couple of remote apps on various devices and also a couple of scripts talking to the CLI of LMS and that would be way more work to change all these.
