Problem with german ä ü ö ß

Hey Guys,

first of all, thanks for this cool programm. It´s easy to rename my series and movies.

But I have a problem, and i hope you can helf me.
My configuration is:

1x vu+ solo2
1x NAS DJ213j

All my files (series, movies) are on my NAS
/Series/Dexter...
/Movies/...

Now i start Filebot 4.6 on my Windows System. I put my series on the left Site. Go to Match, and find the Series example Dexter - S01E01 - Träume
Then i click on Rename. All good.

Now my "Problem" start. I can´t see my transformed Serie anymore. Only when i loggt in over my Webbrowser to my Synology System, then i can see the file else not. Over ftp i can´t see the file.
And i have only problems with renames files with german ä ü ö. Is that strange?

The problem lies not with FileBot, but with your setup. Either Samba settings, FTP settings, etc... if your encoding settings are bad, then you might have issues with non-ASCII characters.

Clearly something is going wrong, but the Synology or other NAS forums will be a better place to get help on these things. Nothing FileBot can do about that.

FileBot can help you get rid of non-ascii characters (i.e. remove ä ü ö ß) via the format using the String.ascii() function.
