Calls filebot, files do not copy though

Post by mayzer »

Hey guys i'm a bit of a noob, been putting off getting this sorted once and for all.
The idea is to drag new movies i get off friends and colleagues into my Batch file which will then rename and sort it according and then copy it to my HDD's.

/
Hee's my log file if you can point out something obvious i'm not doing correctly?
Everything looks fine to me, just doesnt copy the file nor update plex etc

Is there any way to show progress of copies when i copy a few hundred movies through this command line call?

Would love to get this going :)

1. You're calling the sysenv script, so it couldn't possibly work (i.e. do what the amc script does).

2. You're passing the current working directory not the files/folders that are passed via arguments. If you drop files on a bat file then the working directory is probably something like c:/system32 and running filebot on that is a very very bad idea.

3. ut_dir, ut_kind, ut_label etc is passed for no reason, with invalid values no less. The script will complain if you pass input both via arguments and ut parameters.

Reinhard This is a little beyond me,
So dropping files on the batch file to work with won't work because it will be working in the directory of the bat (even if I have it in the directory of FILEBOT?)

So I drop the sysenv script and change the ut_dir and get rid of kind and label and see how I go?
You set this one up for me in the early days when I used torrent but now I simply get movies of friends and just wanna dump them in a folder and let the rest be taken care of...this script is what is ran when torrent finishes a download so I assume that's why there is directory issues.
Got time for some paid dev assistance? Just gotta get this done, run off my feet atm

Sent donation through.

Will you just modify the script and explain how to call it properly or define a folder that FILEBOT watches?
Or do you usually remote in for this sort of thing is teamviewer.
Let us know, cheers mate!

1.
Here's a cmd droplet for the amc script:
https://github.com/filebot/plugins/blob ... md/amc.cmd

e.g.

Code: Select all

/path/to/amc.cmd "/path/to/input/folder"
If you drag-n-drop files onto the amc.cmd file, Windows will automatically call the script and pass in the dropped files as arguments.

2.
Watching folders for new files is a separate issue. Although FileBot could do that, I wouldn't recommend it. Best to let other more specialized tools (powershell, dropit, ...) do that, or just call the script in intervals with Windows Scheduler (easiest solution) which is what I'd recommend.

Still can't get this working :/
Feeling like a bit of a noob, any chance you could remote in and have a bit of a look?
Happy to dev donate just getting frustrated.

I need it to match my original naming scheme and copy the renamed file to the specified directory.

Where does that scripting come into it if I'm using amc.cmd and dropping files onto it?

If you call amc.cmd and pass in a folder with files, what do the logs say?
