I often see these poor hash matches.

1. What does Best Hash Match: null mean?

2. Obviously, someone uploaded bad hash matches; Supernatural.S11E15.HDTV.x264-LOL.srt or Arrow.S02E03.HDTV.x264-LOL.srt are probably poor subtitles for Suits.S05E15.720p.HDTV.x264-KILLERS[rarbg].mkv. The name match, Suits.S05E15.HDTV.x264-KILLERS.srt is more likely a better match.

3. Based on this, I would like options to better select hash/name matching:
Currently there are two options:
a. Match by hash first but if no hash is found, then by name (-non-strict)
b. Match by hash only ("blank" )

I would like to have two more options:
c. Match by name only
d. Match by hash first but if unlikely to be correct, then match by name instead
An "unlikely" match is a hash match but where the show name and season/episode are different.
(Option d would solve situations like in the example above)

Best Hash Match: null means that there is no viable "best match", because the results are all bad.

An "unlikely" match is a hash match but where the show name and season/episode are different.
(Option d would solve situations like in the example above)
In lieu of OpenSubtitles being more and more polluted, I guess that makes a lot of sense.

In the current version, why did FileBot decide to download one of those bad ones; it downloaded Supernatural.S11E15.HDTV.x264-LOL (using the command fn:suball -non-strict)?

I tested r3569:
1. Using CLI (with fn:suball -non-strict), the correct subtitle is now downloaded ;)
2. However, using the GUI, it still only list the bad hash matches (it doesn't move on to name match).

p.s. it may be useful to have the 4 options as suggested above using 4 different arguments; e.g. -nameifnohashmatch (=-non-strict), -hashmatch (=blank), -namematch, -nameifbadhash

I had another issue with incorrect hash match and name match didn't seem to work at all?
(I was searching for Hunters but got Shadowhunters instead):

Option 3d above didn't seem to work?
I had to download the subtitles from the web instead.

Also, I got a javascript error (I don't think that I reached any limits as I have only searched for 4 subtitles that day, and I was still able to download the poor hash match)!?

p.s. Any way to better format the log results to make it easier to read,,?

Yeah... somebody uploaded shitty subtitles. But the "bad match" might be "good enough". Newer versions may ignore hash matches if they don't make sense at all, but in this case the bad match might be good enough to get picked (doing an extra name search is costly and comes with it's own set of potential mismatch issues).

2.
Not in GZIP format is key here. OpenSubtitles is sending back an invalid response. If it's not because of the quota, then it could be for a number of other reasons, i.e. some kind of server issue.

Sorry, I don't have better output. But a simple shell script could replace ':' with new lines and make things more readable that way. Depends on what information you're looking for.
