AMC with Plex and Drivepool

Post by Ikn0wagh0st »

I have been at this for a day or two now. I recently purchased drivepool to expand my storage, and have come to find out that it does not support hardlinks - only symlinks. However, plex does not support symlinks. If I understand correctly, keeplinks will move the file to the new location, and create a symlink back to the original location. However, once completed downloads go to seed, they cannot actually be moved by the keeplinks action since they are use (seeding). Is there any way we can have the concept of keeplinks, but have the file be copied, rather than moved, so that my downloads could seed right away, and the original media file will be in the correct plex directory?

Windows user? Because of how Windows works you're a bit screwed here and --action copy is probably the only thing that'll work if files are locked and hard links are not an option.
