Broken shortcut/launcher link with ver. 4.7.5

Post by user1123 »

System Information:
OS: Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) 64-bit
DE: Gnome Version 3.14.1
Java: openjdk version "1.8.0_111"
Filebot: 4.7.5

How did you install FileBot
  1. downloaded .deb file from filebot.net
  2. opened terminal in downloads directory
  3. typed the following

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg -i filebot*
Additional Information
I just upgraded to 4.7.5. The launcher shortcut is looking for the filebot.sh file in
/usr/share/filebot/bin/

However, the file is located in
/usr/share/filebot/

I'm not sure if this is a local issue with my machine, or if the target was changed in the upgrade.
I just wanted to give you a heads up in case anyone else is having issued with this.

Thanks for this superb piece of software. Much obliged.

I've checked the deb package, and /usr/share/applications/FileBot.desktop says:

Code: Select all

Exec=/usr/share/filebot/filebot.sh
Maybe you have an outdated *.desktop files lying around?
 Please read the FAQ and How to Request Help.
