Hi,
I'm using Filebot.exe on windows. I can drop a movie onto the left hand panel and it will rename and move it but can it download the metadata, .nfo etc?. If so how because I have tried everything and it doesn't . Whats the secret?

The FileBot GUI does not generate nfo files or download artwork. Once your files have been well-named and well-organized by FileBot, this job can easily be accomplished by other tools (such as Plex, Kodi, Emby, MediaElch, etc).
FileBot does store some metadata as xattr though and there are filebot command-line scripts to batch generate nfo files. However, that's an advanced feature for advanced users only. GUI users will probably prefer GUI tools such as MediaElch to manage their artwork/nfo files after organizing them with FileBot.
