FileBot isn't starting

win 8.1 64x
latest version of the software and java

this is what happens when i click on the desktop icon of filebot

Have you tried using the FileBot (platform) launcher?

same thing
with and without administrator privileges

uninstalled java and restarted the laptop , reinstalled both java 64x & 32x versions
re-tested
still not starting

did the same with filebot program
still no luck

Have you tried using the FileBot (console) launcher and see if there's any error output?

not sure if that is what you mean
but only this is opening. but can't write anything in it

That's odd, if it doesn't even show any errors then I have no idea what's going on. Maybe Windows put the FileBot window outside of the screen bounds? If the window is just off-screen, then simple Windows shortcuts like Win+Left might help you center the window back on the visible screen.


Settings reset might help. Just run this command once:

Resetting preferences works. Had the same problem after going from a fairly old release (at least 1 year) to the latest one outside of the windows store.
